"Helpful plants, but the instructions were confusing"
I bought a few plants i really wanted to do everything right, so I tried following the planting guides. But the info felt kind of all over the place. Like, some parts were super general, and then other instructions didn’t really seem to match the plants I actually received. I kept going back and forth trying to figure out what applied and what didn’t. In the end, I was basically guessing, which was frustrating since I’m still new to this.

I placed my order and honestly, wait, I should say I wasn’t expecting it to show up that quickly, but the shipping was really fast.

"Shipping Fees Were the Dealbreaker"
I was all set to order a few plants from Prairie Nursery, but then the shipping cost popped up and totally killed the vibe. I know plants probably aren’t the easiest things to ship, but come on, those shipping-fee goblins made the total feel way too high. I might give them another shot someday, but not if the delivery charges are still acting like little wallet vampires.

In my opinion, the order was kind of hit or miss. Some of the plants arrived looking healthy and nice, but a couple were wilted and smaller than I expected. They do seem to be bouncing back now, so I wouldn’t say it was a bad purchase, just not quite what I was hoping for at the price

My order showed up and the plants were fine, so no issue there. But the tracking was confusing. I couldn’t really tell when it had actually shipped or when I should expect it to arrive. Whoever runs this should really make the updates clearer, because it made the whole thing more stressful than it needed to be

"The catalog actually helped me choose"
I found the catalog helpful when I was trying to figure out which plants to get, it had enough info to point me in the right direction and made the whole picking process easier, I just wish there had been more pictures because I like seeing what things are supposed to look like before I decide.

I actually really like the site, and the plant info is super helpful when I’m trying to figure out what to buy. The plants I did get were good too. But then suddenly I’m annoyed, because half the stuff I wanted was out of stock. I signed up for alerts and still managed to miss a few restocks, which was frustrating when I was trying to plan one order. It’s not a bad experience overall, just wish the availability was more reliable

The website was easy to use, and checkout went smoothly. I found what I needed quickly and got the order confirmation right away, which was nice. The only frustrating part was the waiting afterward, I kept checking for updates and it felt like things were moving slower than I expected

"Great selection if you’re planning a native yard"
I’ve been trying to add more native plants to my yard, and Prairie Nursery was one of the better places I found for that. They had a good mix of prairie flowers and grasses that actually fit what I was looking for, which made planning a lot easier. A few things I wanted were sold out, so that was a bit frustrating, but I guess that’s not too surprising depending on the season. Overall, the site was easy to browse and compare plants, and I’d probably order from them again

In my experience, the order process was a bit frustrating. My package arrived later than I expected, and the tracking updates weren’t very clear, so I wasn’t sure what was going on. I eventually received it, but for me, the wait and lack of communication made the whole experience feel more stressful than it needed to be.

"Thought it was fine at first, then kinda disappointing"
When I first opened the seed mix, I was actually happy with it. It looked clean and there wasn’t much junk or filler in there. But then I started looking through it more and was like, wait… where’s all the variety? Based on the list, I expected a bit more. It’s not terrible or anything, but it ended up feeling average

"Not as low maintenance as I expected"
The plants arrived in decent shape, so no issue there. But the whole “low maintenance yard” idea didn’t really pan out for me. Weeds started filling in quickly, and a few areas looked messy way sooner than I expected. Maybe I chose the wrong plants, but I did follow the info on the site, so it was a little frustrating to still end up doing this much upkeep.

"Description felt a little off"
I ordered this after reading the plant description while I was having coffee and trying to pick out something new for my window area, but when it arrived, it didn’t really match the size or overall condition I was expecting. It might still grow okay, and I’m going to give it a chance, but I do think the listing could be clearer so people know more accurately what they’re getting.

"Decent experience, but the follow-up was slower than I hoped"
I ordered a few plants from Prairie Nursery, and a couple of them showed up looking rough. I sent over some photos, and to their credit, they did get back to me, just not as quickly as I would’ve liked. As someone who’s really excited about planting and tries to be patient with small nursery orders, I was a little disappointed by the wait. They offered either a replacement or a refund, which I definitely appreciated. The refund process was easy, but the replacement took longer than I expected. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, just not a great one either. I’d probably order again, but I’d go in with lower expectations for the follow-up if something goes wrong

"Website made it sound greener than it felt"
I ordered because the website made it seem like they were really focused on native plants and sustainability, so I was a little confused when my package arrived with so much plastic and extra packing stuff. The plants themselves were okay, but the whole delivery didn’t really line up with the eco-friendly message they put out. I just expected a company centered around ecological gardening to be a bit more thoughtful about the packaging.

"Showed up way too late for planting season"
I ordered these plants because the timing on the site made it seem like they’d arrive when I needed them, but that definitely wasn’t the case. I kept waiting and waiting, and by the time they finally shipped, my planting window was pretty much gone. Maybe other people have better luck, but this really threw off my plans.

"They actually knew their stuff"
I had a few questions before ordering from Prairie Nursery and, i was kind of expecting the usual vague answers. But then the staff started asking about my soil, sun, and what I was hoping for, and okay, my attitude changed fast.
They weren’t pushy or trying to load me up with random plants either. The advice was simple, clear, and actually useful, which made picking native plants way less stressful. I ended up feeling really good about the whole thing
